FERRI ARCHITECTURE is a New York based firm providing architectural services through all phases of design and construction of renovations and new construction projects.

Our office has designed and realized a number of residential projects, mostly renovations of existing buildings, assisting our clients with all required design tasks, such as engineering consultants coordination, construction administration and as-built project documentation, securing all required Authorities Having Jurisdiction approvals.

Our architectural vision is based on ethics and discipline with focused attention on construction methods, components and details. Our objective is to contribute to the development of a human habitat that is responsive to nature and human requirements, posing solid foundations for future evolution.

 

Founder: Arch. Marcello Ferri, AIA

Licensed architect in the State of New York, Member of the American Institute of Architects.
Marcello has worked for architectural firms in New York City such as Mitchell | Giurgola Architects LLP, Beyer Blinder Belle Architects and Planners LLP, Smith-Miller + Hawkinson Architects LLP and Rafael Viñoly Architects PC as a designer, project architect and project manager. Project experience includes residential, educational, labs, museum, hotel, public transportation, schools and urban planning. Clients list includes: Princeton University, The Rockefeller University, US General Service Administration, Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, The Port Authority of NY & NJ, The Episcopal Church General Theological Seminary and the New York School Construction Authority.

Academic Activity
While graduating, and continuing after graduation, Marcello worked on a number of research projects on seismic structures for Universita' La Sapienza, Dipartimento di Ingegneria Strutturale e Geotecnica and Universita' Roma Tre in Rome IT performing non-linear dynamic tests on numerical models of reinforced concrete frame structures.
Marcello has been teaching courses of Computer Assisted Architectural Design using BIM and GIS at several New York City Institutes such as NYU Shack and Pratt Institute. Marcello also held several presentations in regards to renovation project strategies using BIM and GIS at the New York Build Expo.
